Mark Cosgrove is renowned for his distinctive and creative flatpicking guitar style, which has captivated audiences across the U.S., Europe, Australia, and Japan. His mastery of both acoustic and electric guitar, as well as the mandolin, showcases his versatility and deep musicality. Mark's impressive accolades include winning the prestigious National Flatpick Championship and the Doc Watson Guitar Championship, highlighting his exceptional talent in the bluegrass community.
Beyond his solo achievements, Mark has been a pivotal member of the David Bromberg Quintet and Big Band, contributing to three of Bromberg's albums. Notably, the album Big Road reached Number One on Billboard’s Blues Chart, and The Blues, The Whole Blues, And Nothing But The Blues was honored as 2017 Blues Album of the Year by Downbeat Magazine’s Critics Poll.
